Just for Laughs’ 2017 ‘Nasty Show’ feats. Godfrey, Robert Kelly and more

Just For Laughs The Nasty Show 2017

Montreal’s Just for Laughs has unveiled the lineup for the 2017 rendition of The Nasty Show series. Godfrey, who performed as part of the festival’s 2016 Ethnic Show, will appear, as will Robert Kelly (Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll, Trainwreck), Big Jay Oakerson (host of What’s Your F@#King Deal?!) and UK comedian Jimmy Carr.

With Just for Laughs scheduled for the latter half of July, the fest is still a few months out. And while the larger portion of their lineup is expected to drop early next month, the festival previously announced that Mike Birbiglia will be bringing his show, The New One, to the Gesù for a handful of dates (July 24-25, 27-29) while John Mulaney will perform his new show, Kid Gorgeous, at the Olympia Theatre on July 29.

Korean Irish-American comedian Steve Byrne, who just dropped his latest special Tell The Damn Joke on Netflix earlier this month, is also confirmed to appear as part of JFL’s Ethnic Show (taking place at Club Soda and Metropolis with 19 performances from July 12-27, 2017.). He will join Jewish-American comedian Jessica Kirson, Portuguese-Canadian Mike Rita, Dominican-American Vlad Caamaño, Italian-Canadians The Doo Wops, featuring John Catucci & David Mesiano, as well as host Maz Jobrani, all slated to perform the 9th edition of the festival staple.

The Nasty Show, which aims to push the boundaries of comedy with extreme no-hold-barred material and raw shock humor, promises to add more comedians to the lineup in the near future. The host of The Nasty Show has also yet to be named for 2017 so keep your eyes open for that.
