10 artists are playing full albums at Riot Fest 2017 in Chicago

On the heels yesterday’s stellar First Wave lineup announcement featuring headliners Queens of the Stone Age, Nine Inch Nails and a Jawbreaker reunion, Riot Fest has announced eight of ten bands that will be performing albums in their entirety at this year’s festival in Chicago.

Among the first eight are Dinosaur Jr. celebrating the 30th anniversary of You’re Living All Over Me, Built To Spill performing their 1999 album Keep It Like A Secret and The Mighty Mighty Bosstones celebrating the 20th anniversary of their breakout album, Let’s Face It.

Fishbone, Bayside, Mayday Parade, The Lawrence Arms and that dog. are also slated to perform complete albums at this year’s Riot Fest. The remaining two artists inked to play complete albums will be revealed during next month’s Second Wave announcement of 25 additional artists.

Riot Fest already revealed over 70 artists including New Order, Paramore, Wu-Tang Clan, Gogol Bordello, Prophets of Rage, TV On The Radio, M.I.A. Mike D’s DJ set, Pennywise, Bad Brains and more, playing this year’s festival. Needless to say, 2017 should be a smash hit with those in attendance at Chicago’s premiere festival specializing in punk, alternative, rock, hip-hop and metal.

Riot Fest takes place at Douglas Park on Sept. 15-17. Three-day VIP and General Admission tickets are available for purchase here.
