Watch: Hasan Minhaj talks immigration & more in trailer for ‘Homecoming King’

The trailer for Hasan Minhaj’s new stand-up special Homecoming King has just arrived. Watch as the comedian jokes about parenting, immigration and the American dream in the above clip, courtesy of steaming service Netflix.

It’s been almost two weeks since Minhaj — most well known for his work on The Daily Show — took the stage at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner to roast President Donald Trump who, like Jimmy Carter, Richard Nixon & Ronald Reagan before him, chose not to attend the event. Watch as he rides the momentum of his recent high-profile engagement, taking his experiences as a Muslim with Indian roots, born and raised in America, to a small screen stage near you (aka your living room).

Minhaj’s forthcoming special Homecoming King is based on his 2015 one-man off-Broadway show of the same name. The hour-long stand-up special, one of several more dropping this month, will be available for streaming on Netflix on May 23.
