Watch: ‘Jordan Klepper Solves Guns’ gets a trailer & premiere date on Comedy Central

Jordan Klepper is about to take on guns in a forthcoming one-hour Comedy Central special. Debuting June 11, Jordan Klepper Solves Guns will see the comedian and actor using his investigative journalist powers in an attempt to fix America’s gun problems once and for all. See for yourself in the above trailer.

Jordan Klepper Solves Guns aims to explore the issue of gun violence and highlight the politics and special interests behind “keeping the nation from simple safety reforms.” Through a combination of documentary filmmaking, comedy and investigative journalism, the special will give viewers a front-line perspective on the gun-control debate through the eyes of Klepper.

“Over the course of this special, I selflessly let people on all sides of the gun debate be interviewed by me, and I was consistently surprised by how much common ground they shared,” Klepper said in a statement. “This special isn’t just about America’s relationship with guns — it’s about how needlessly toxic the debate around that issue has become. Also, doing my part to bring the country together, I show my ass on television.”

Throughout the special, Klepper, widely known for his work as a correspondent on The Daily Show, speaks with Senator Cory Booker (D-NJ), former ATF special agent David Chipman, former NRA lobbyist Richard Feldman and many more as he dives deep into the topic of guns. He trains with former Army Special Ops soldiers, gets an MRI to better understand the political mind and discusses reform with a wide range of hardcore to moderate gun owners including his own cousin, Pete.

Jordan Klepper Solves Guns is executive produced by Klepper, Kirsten Ames, Steve Bodow and Todd Bieber, the lattermost who also directs. The one-hour investigative comedy special premieres Sunday, June 11 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on Comedy Central.
