T.J. Miller gets drenched in HBO’s new promo for ‘Meticulously Ridiculous’

The debut for T.J. Miller’s forthcoming stand-up special Meticulously Ridiculous is now less than one month away, which means it’s the appropriate time for a little teaser trailer. That said, check out this new promo video, courtesy of HBO, featuring a typically insane Miller getting wild and crazy with his favorite renewable resource, water.

Meticulously Ridiculous marks the comedian-actor-voiceover artist’s first special for HBO. The hour-long, taped at the Paramount Theater in Miller’s hometown of Denver, will highlight Miller’s one-of-a-kind physical comedy, his trademark offbeat observational style and, as seen in the above promo, his extreme — arguably unhealthy — fondness for H2O.

Miller will examine drugs, nightmares, historical figures, life, death and much more in his new special, Meticulously Ridiculous, which will also be made available instantly on HBO’s VOD counterparts HBO On Demand, HBO NOW and HBO GO.

Miller made his stand-up special debut in 2011 with No Real Reason, premiering on Comedy Central. He can currently be heard voicing the title character in the same network’s intergalactic variety talk show The Gorburger Show and seen reprising his role of Erlich Bachman on Silicon Valley, which just returned to HBO for it’s fourth season back in April.

Meticulously Ridiculous, produced by Funny Or Die and written and executive-produced by Miller, premieres June 17 at 10 p.m. on HBO.
