Watch Jack White banish Rory Scovel in his new Netflix special trailer

Jack White & Rory Scovel Tries Stand Up For The First Time on Netflix

The trailer for Rory Scovel’s forthcoming stand-up special has officially dropped today. The hilarious 85-second clip, which came courtesy of Netflix, features some jokes, a few quips, a little bit of physical comedy and one of the most unlikely of special guests… full-time musician, part-time actor, Mr. Jack White.

In the trailer for Rory Scovel Tries Stand Up For The First Time (below), White can be seen implementing his zero tolerance policy as he takes aim at a youthful and optimistic Scovel, who really just appears excited to be included in the conversation.

“What about a guy who doesn’t know what he’s doing, is completely out of his element, unattractive, probably not that funny,” questions White. “What would that be like?”

Scovel is subsequently seen riffing on airport lines, marveling over microphones and poking fun at his ridiculously small jacket in a trailer that, aside from looking quite promising, feels oddly nostalgic.

Just when things are beginning to look on the up and up, White returns to oust Scovel to a backseat sofa where, despite his bruised ego and diminished position, the comedian remains surprisingly lighthearted and full of hope.

Rory Scovel Tries Stand Up For The First Time follows Scovel’s 2015 release The Charleston Special and marks the comedian’s Netflix Original comedy special debut. Rory Scovel Tries Stand Up For The First Time begins streaming on Netflix on June 20.
