Billy Corgan releases massive 5xLP ‘Siddartha’ vinyl box set

Smashing Pumpkins’ Billy Corgan has just announced a mammoth ultra-cool vinyl box set featuring a notable solo live performance from back in 2014 known as the “Siddhartha Jam.” The package is a 5xLP vinyl box set and will be limited to 500 signed copies, currently available only through Corgan’s Madame Zuzu’s tea shop.

The Siddartha vinyl deluxe package will include five 180g clear-vinyl records and will run fans $375. Each box set will be hand-numbered and signed by Corgan and will include a custom hand-numbered art print of “Siddartha” by longtime Corgan collaborator and TheFutureEmbrace touring mate Linda Strawberry. Those who purchase a limited edition set will also receive a Stylophone pocket synthesizer along with a black WPC trucker hat. Include one of the many teas offered at Zuzu’s with your Siddartha box set order and you will be entered for a chance to win a “one-of-a-kind Christmastime record player by Billy Corgan.”

Corgan’s “Siddartha Jam” took place back in February of 2014 and, as promised in a prior Facebook post promoting the show, lasted approximately eight hours. The extended jam was a musical interpretation of Hermann Hesse’s novel Siddhartha and was described by Corgan as “built by modular synthesis, on the fly.” The performance was made available for live-streaming on the internet and subsequently later posted to YouTube.
