Earlier this week, Riot Fest announced its single day lineup for the 2017 rendition of its Chicago-based festival. Adding to the excitement, is the announcement that Danzig will return to the grounds, where he will play a full album set. Additionally, Wu-Tang Clan, previously announced for this year’s event, will perform a full-album show.
Danzig, who wowed Riot Festies last year with a Misfits reunion after decades of non-activity, is slated to perform Danzig III: How the Gods Kill in celebration of the album’s 25th anniversary, while Wu-Tang will take on Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers). The two groups join the eight other previously-announced artists performing full albums at this year’s Riot Fest.
April saw the initial unveiling of Riot Fest’s bang-up 2017 lineup, topped by Nine Inch Nails, Jawbreaker and Queens of the Stone Age. While the second wave of artists announced earlier this month brought the total count to somewhere near 100 acts — with this week’s daily lineup announcement — we now know “who” will play “when.”
