‘Brad Paisley’s Comedy Rodeo’ special to premiere on Netflix this August

Brad Paisley & David Hasselhoff in Comedy Rodeo Netflix teaser

Brad Paisley is the latest to join the Netflix comedy club ranks. The full-time country music star part-time jokester announced earlier this week that he will debut his own comedy special on the streaming service this August. Check out the short teaser below featuring Paisley, joined by none other than Mr. David Hasselhoff and KITT from Knight Rider.

According to Paisley’s website, Brad Paisley’s Comedy Rodeo will feature a handful of comedians — Nate Bargatze, John Heffron, Jon Reep, Sarah Tiana and Mike E. Winfield — performing sets of stand-up. The non-traditional comedy special will also see cameo appearances from the above-mentioned Hasselhoff as well as Reba McEntire.

Paisley’s unexpected Comedy Rodeo special is the second hour-long from a musician to hit Netflix this year. In February, the SVOD service debuted the holiday-themed Michael Bolton’s Big Sexy Valentine’s Day Special from Scott Aukerman and Akiva Schaffer, which featured the title musician at the center of a mishmosh of ridiculous segments involving a smorgasbord of comedians including Fred Armisen, Sarah Silverman, Andy Samberg, Eric Andre, Maya Rudolph, Michael Sheen and more.

Brad Paisley’s Comedy Rodeo was filmed earlier this year at Zanies Comedy Club in Nashville, TN as part of the Wild West Comedy Festival. The special premieres on Netflix on Aug. 15.
