Michelle Wolf’s debut comedy special ‘Nice Lady’ hits HBO in December

Michelle Wolf:Nice Lady on HBO

One of comedy’s rising stars Michelle Wolf is set to release her debut comedy special later this year. The Daily Show writer and correspondent will premiere Nice Lady this December exclusively on HBO.

Nice Lady, which was first announced back in April, was taped at Skirball Center in New York City on August 12. The special, written by Wolf, sees the comedian talking feminism, sexism within nature, public bathrooms and more. She’ll attempt to explain how conceiving a baby is easier than making a croissant while also hammering home her theory on why Hillary Clinton couldn’t possibly be a “nice lady.”

Wolf has racked up quite a few notable credits in recent years. She previously wrote for and made her stand-up performance debut on Late Night with Seth Meyers, prior to appearing on Louis CK’s Horace and Pete and @midnight. She was selected as one of the “New Faces of Comedy” at Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal back in 2014 and has performed at a number of other major festivals including Bonnaroo, Riot LA Comedy Festival and the Dublin Comedy Festival.

Nice Lady was directed by Chappelle’s Show co-creator (and the star of his own hour-long Netflix special 3 Mics) Neal Brennan and was exec-produced by Wolf, John Irwin, Daniel Bodansky and James Dixon.

Catch Michelle Wolf: Nice Lady Saturday, Dec. 2 at 9:00-10:00 p.m. ET/PT only on HBO.
