Ladytron to play Thalia Hall in Chicago on May 29

Ladytron

Synth pop legends Ladytron played a string of sold-out shows in 2023 in support of their latest album, Time’s Arrow

The band – presently comprised of Helen Marnie, Mira Aroyo and Daniel Hunt – is hitting the road again in 2024. To kick things off they will perform at Chicago’s Thalia Hall on May 29. Denver, Las Vegas and a stop at the Schellraiser Festival in Nevada are also on the agenda. Tickets to all dates are currently on sale now.

In a 2023 interview with Rebellious Magazine, Marnie explained how Time’s Arrow is almost an anti-pandemic record.

“What I noticed during the one-to-two year period where people were kind of solitary, a lot of the music that was coming out really, really annoyed me because it was so literal in its lyrics about solitary confinement and being on your own,” she said. “The whole depressive aspect of it – I really disliked it. So for me, I wanted to create something almost the exact opposite. It’s like, yeah, everyone has gone through similar experiences but at the same time do we really want to go over that? I don’t. I want to come out the other end and be excited about things.”
