Summerfest 2017 lineup: The Shins, Steve Miller & more join Chili Peppers, Tom Petty, Dylan & Willie

Summerfest has already announced a slew of top tier artists — Red Hot Chili Peppers, Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, P!nk, Outlaw Music Festival with Willie Nelson & Family and Bob Dylan to name a few — slated for the 50th edition of the massive 11 day music extravaganza. The mammoth celebration of sights and sounds, coined “The World’s Largest Music Festival,” has now unveiled over 100 additional ground stage headliners set to perform the Milwaukee-based event, which takes place June 28 – July 2 and July 4 – July 9.

Among the newly-announced Summerfest ground stage headliners are The Shins — who performed on last night’s broadcast of Jimmy Kimmel Live! (see above and below) where the lineup was announced and 2016 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Steve Miller, who will perform the festival with his band.

Additionally, Flume, Alessia Cara, The Moody Blues, Huey Lewis & The News, Miike Snow, Awolnation, Steve Aoki, Slightly Stoopid, Tegan and Sara, Brett Eldredge, Girl Talk, Peter Frampton, Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue, T-Pain, Brian Setzer’s Rockabilly Riot!, Joss Stone, Collective Soul, REO Speedwagon, The Naked and Famous, Guster, House of Pain and more will perform at the 2017 rendition of the fest.

Summerfest and Jimmy Kimmel Live! have also just announced they will be collaborating to offer viewers around the world exclusive festival access via a brand new streaming platform (more details to be announced soon). The event also appears to be putting a fresh spin on some of their scheduled performances including Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers and Red Hot Chili Peppers, the former who will perform with Chris Stapleton, the latter who are scheduled to play with Deerhoof & Jack Irons.

The above listed artists are only a portion of the mammoth list of names inked in for this year’s Summerfest. See below for the latest lineup poster and keep an eye out for more announcements as festival organizers have already promised even more headliners in the coming weeks.
