Lady Dynamite Season 2 trailer welcomes Judd Apatow, Fred Armisen & more

We learned last month, when Netflix released this short tech-centric teaser, that Season 2 of Maria Bamford’s hilariously inventive series Lady Dynamite would return on Nov. 10. The streaming service has now released the official trailer, which features introductions to a slew of guest stars including Portlandia’s Fred Armisen and legendary feature film producer and soon-to-be star of his own Netflix stand-up special, Mr. Judd Apatow.

“Living with someone is hard,” says Apatow in the above clip. “It’s all about how you handle it.” Bamford can subsequently be seen using a drill in an attempt to spice up her love life with her onscreen romantic interest Scott. As well as tackling “love,” Season 2 of Bamford’s semi-autobiographical series promises to continue calling attention to the topic of mental illness… as Ana Gasteyer, who plays the comedian’s agent Karen Grisham in the show, so bluntly points out in the trailer’s opening.

Jenny Slate, Jason Mantzoukas, David Spade, Weird Al Yankovic, SNL veteran Andy Samberg and the multi-talented Judy Greer (all who make appearances above) will also guest star in Season 2 of Netflix’s most original of original comedy productions. Fred Melamed, Mary Kay Place, Ólafur Darri Ólafsson, Ed Begley, Jr. and the above-mentioned Gasteyer will round out the cast of the series, co-created by Mitch Hurwitz and Pam Brady.

Bamford, who debuted her absurdist boundary-pushing stand-up special Old Baby on Netflix back in May, returns to the VOD platform with Season 2 of Lady Dynamite on Nov. 10.
