Dave Matthews Band is back in action. Having taken off 2017, the group has just announced they will soon be releasing a new studio album backed up by a massive North American tour including a two-night run in Chicago.
DMB’s new album marks the band’s ninth studio release and the followup to their 2012 LP Away From The World. The group is currently putting the finishing touches on the album, which does not yet have an official release date.
Matthews and company kicks off their forthcoming tour at Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion in The Woodlands, TX on May 18. They will subsequently make stops in Austin, Atlanta, Cincinnati and more before their one-two punch at Chicago’s Huntington Bank Pavilion on June 29-30. Other notable dates include two-night runs in Noblesville, IN, Denver, CO & West Palm Beach, FL and a mega three-night Labor Day blowout at The Gorge in Quincy, WA (Aug. 31-Sept. 2), prior to the tour closer at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, CA on Sept. 10.
Tickets are currently only available to DMB Warehouse members but there will be an official presale for Citi credit card holders beginning 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 30. General public ticket sales begin Friday, Feb. 2. All online ticket orders purchased by May 17 will receive either a CD or digital download of the new album upon its release.
