Randy and Jason Sklar, collectively known as the Sklar Brothers, have just announced their latest project, Sklars and Stripes. The new long-form audio documentary is slated for release on Audible on April 5.

Described as a “comedic audio documentary,” Sklars and Stripes features conversations, insights and off-the-cuff jokes from the brothers’ 2017 tour travels. The 6-hour doc follows Randy and Jason as they explore red states and blue states alike, mining local material in cities like San Francisco, Denver and Tulsa, OK, to create relevant comedy on a micro level. Travel along with the duo — joined by HQ Trivia host Scott Rogowsky — as they dive deep into our nation’s psyche in an attempt to prove Americans can indeed still laugh at themselves.

“In our quest to get out of our bubble, travel the country as outsiders, and write local comedy that connects with people in the cities where they live, we pondered the idea of the tech industry pricing gay culture out of San Francisco, building a wall between Missouri and Kansas, and a gluten-free strip club in Portland, OR,” the Sklar Brothers said in a press release. “If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to be a comedian on the road in America, creating comedy in the moment…Sklars and Stripes is for you. And, come on, it’s not like Anthony Bourdain is going to write 6 minutes of funny material about Casa Bonita, a Mexican restaurant in suburban Denver that has indoor cliff diving.”

Sklars and Stripes features both on and off stage material from 10 different U.S. cities, each of which are detailed in their own unique chapters. Pre-order it now, exclusively on Audible, where it comes bundled with the Sklars’ latest stand-up comedy album, The Tour Tapes.
