Jawbreaker has just announced they will be performing a one-off show in the midwest later this year. The single performance is slated to take place in Chicago on Sunday, Nov. 4.

On the heels of their reunion at Riot Fest back in 2017, Jawbreaker is partnering up with festival organizers for their forthcoming performance, set to go down at Chicago’s Aragon Ballroom. This will mark a return of sorts for lead singer Blake Schwarzenbach and company, who took the stage at the iconic Windy City venue while on tour with Nirvana back in 1993.

Jawbreaker formed in 1986 only to breakup a mere decade later after signing with DGC Records for the release of their final album Dear You. More than 20 years later, the influential punk rockers reunited, gracing tens of thousands of waiting fans with a triumphant headlining performance to close out last year’s Riot Fest.

Fans of Jawbreaker can revisit the band’s history in the documentary Don’t Break Down, which sees the band discussing, among other things, the recording of 1994’s 24 Hour Revenge Therapy in Chicago with Steve Albini. The film, which debuted back in August of last year, documents the group’s wild rise to fame and features interviews with Graham Elliot, Jessica Hopper, Billie Joe Armstrong and more.

Tickets for Jawbreaker’s Nov. 4 show at the Aragon go on sale Friday, July 20. Click here for more information and to pick up tickets.
