In case you missed it, The Specials just released a new album entitled Encore. The band has also announced a slew of 2019 North American tour dates in support of the new LP.

The Specials will kick off their 2019 tour with a May 22nd show at Vancouver’s Commodore Ballroom, followed by subsequent stops in Seattle, Portland, Oakland and the Punk Rock Bowling & Music Festival in Las Vegas. Los Angeles, Denver, Boston, Brooklyn and Chicago are also on the docket, prior to the group’s closing things out with a pair of shows at Toronto’s Danforth Music Hall in late June.

Encore represents The Specials’ first new music in 37 years. The influential ska punk group’s new release features 10 tracks and was produced by Specials founding members Terry Hall, Horace Panter and Lynval Golding alongside Danish producer Torp Larson. The Island Records release marks the first time Hall, Golding & Panter have recorded new material together since their 1981 single “Ghost Town.”
