Kjell Bjorgen’s debut stand-up comedy album ‘Deliver Us From People’ out February 22

Kjell Bjorgen - Deliver Us From People

Kjell Bjorgen is about to release a new stand-up comedy album. Deliver Us From People, which drops later this month, will mark the comedian’s first comedy album after performing stand-up around the country for nearly 20 years.

Deliver Us From People sees Bjorgen riffing on a variety of subjects including his days waiting tables at The Mall of America and playing uncle to his twin brother’s son. The comedian also finds laughs with stories of crashing his own birth and his repeated failed attempts to find true love.

Bjorgen began his stand-up career decades ago in Los Angeles, CA and later went on to join Lewis Black’s “Nothing’s Sacred Tour.” He has performed at The Aspen Comedy Festival, Montreal’s Just For Laughs and the Chicago Comedy Festival and has appeared on NBC’s Late Friday and Comedy Central’s Live at Gotham.

Kjell Bjorgen: Deliver Us From People was taped at Minneapolis’ Sisyphus Brewing back in December of 2018. “Sisyphus is smaller, and you really have to engage the audience,” said Bjorgen in a recent interview. “But when you do, it just sounds so much better and more personal. That’s what I wanted for my album.”

Deliver Us From People will be released Feb. 22 via Blonde Medicine.
