If you were looking for a double bill fueled by pure punk energy, Chicago’s Metro was the place to be on May 22 as The Distillers and Starcrawler took the stage for a sold-out performance.

Throughout the night, fans were treated to two ends of the rock spectrum with an uninhibited, performance art-driven opening set from Starcrawler – frontwoman Arrow de Wilde thrashing, choking and howling in fits of musical madness from start to finish – before The Distillers’ raw, no-nonsense sound powered the audience into a frenzy during Brody Dalle and company’s headlining set.
