Dave Chappelle is set to make his Broadway debut next month. The comedian will take to the stage from July 9-13 for a limited five-show run at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre.

Chappelle’s Broadway stint will follow a handful of recent residencies at the Lunt-Fontanne, including Yanni and Morrissey, the latter who, Deadline reports, raked in a whopping $1.9M with near sell-out houses across his seven shows. Mel Brooks, Regina Spektor and Criss Angel are all slated to make limited runs at the theater in the coming weeks.

Chappelle most recently appeared in the Bradley Cooper-directed film A Star Is Born, released in 2018. The prior year saw the Chappelle’s Show mastermind release four stand-up specials on Netflix, while still finding the time to stage a 10-show residency at the Radio City Music Hall.

Later this year, the comedian will receive the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C.

Ticketmaster will open a Verified Fan presale for Dave Chappelle Live on Broadway on June 18 with general public tickets going on sale the following Friday, June 21.
