Multi-talented comedian-writer-actress-producer Sarah Silverman is making a triumphant return to HBO. It was announced earlier this week that the two-time Emmy winner has partnered with the network for a new comedy special along with a late-night series pilot order.

Though details regarding the late-night series are limited at the moment, the show will see Silverman “weighing in on the mishigas of the week and taking live video calls.” The comedian further described the series in a recent statement:

“I’m as passionate talking about my face-washing routine as I am talking about why billionaires cost us money. Nothing’s off the table and nothing’s too high or low brow for me. I mean – look at my face – I’m literally all brow.”

Silverman’s new stand-up special follows her 2017 Netflix hour-long A Speck of Dust. The forthcoming one-hour also marks her first with HBO since 2013’s We Are Miracles, for which she won an Emmy for Outstanding Writing for a Variety Special. Among her other HBO credits are The Larry Sanders Show and Mr. Show with Bob and David.

The late-night series pilot will be executive produced by Silverman, along with Judd Apatow and Amy Zvi, the lattermost who also produced Silverman’s recent Hulu show I Love You, America. Should the pilot go to series, it would join HBO’s current late-night slate, which includes Last Week Tonight with John Oliver and Real Time with Bill Maher.
