Fortune Feimster is set to release her first full length stand-up special Sweet & Salty on Netflix on Jan. 21. By the looks of the new trailer, it appears to be a delicious hour full of laughs.
Childhood misadventures as a former Girl Scout, experiences as a debutant and “disqualified” swim meet champion and how a movie helped her realize she was a lesbian are among the topics which Feimster will mine for laughs. She will also discuss her family’s complicated relationship with Hooters.
Feimster has had roles in such popular TV series as The Mindy Project, Champions and Life in Pieces and has also appeared in Dear White People, 2 Broke Girls, Drunk History and other shows. Office Christmas Party, Father of the Year and The Happytime Murders are among the films on Feimster’s impressive resume.
When it comes to stand-up comedy, Feimster regularly tours across the country and has hosted major events including the GLAAD Media Awards.
Later this month, Netflix will also be dropping additional comedy specials including Vir Das: For India on Jan. 26 and Alex Fernandez: The Best Comedian in the World on Jan. 28.
