Don’t miss the final month of games at The Hideout’s Virtual Veggie Bingo

Veggie Bingo

Since late-April, The Hideout and NeighborSpace have been providing the community a place to connect, unwind and support local community gardens. This month is the last chance to join in on the Wednesday night fun as August 5, 12, 19 and 26 will be the final installments of the 2020 series.

Virtual Veggie Bingo is held on Zoom so participants can enjoy the games from the comfort of their home. Jams, local honey, coffee, posters, certificates for veggie delivery and more are among the prizes.

For a minimum contribution of $10 to the Virtual Veggie Bingo GoFundMe Page – or more if supporters are so inclined – players receive two cards which can be printed or downloaded before the games begin at 7 p.m.

Each edition of Virtual Veggie Bingo highlights a different community garden and features different callers. The Aug. 5th garden is Austin Green Team featuring the organization’s Tina Augustus and Lisa Martain Hoffer as callers. The Aug. 12th garden is Windy City Harvest‘s North Lawndale Youth Farm and Kenneth Street Farm with Windy City Harvest‘s Urban Youth Programs Director Eliza Fournier and Mr. & Mrs. Wednesday Night calling. The Aug. 19th garden is Montrose Metra Community Garden with a caller to be announced and the final Virtual Veggie Bingo will feature a yet to be announced garden and Stancil Wood as the guest caller.
