Pixies announce 2021 U.S. tour dates

Pixies – Black Francis, Joey Santiago, David Lovering and Paz Lenchantin – have announced a U.S. tour in 2021, comprised of the band’s first American shows since late 2019.

The tour will kick off on Sept. 10 at the Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, New York before making stops in Pittsburgh, Louisville and other great cities. Pixies are also set to perform at Riot Fest in Chicago on Sept. 19 before the tour wraps up on Sept. 26 in Tulsa, OK.

The group will also be supporting Nine Inch Nails for a pair of shows at Jacobs Pavilion in Cleveland, OH.

Fans can expect to hear their favorite songs from the Pixies’ entire history and each show will feature a unique set list “determined just before its first note is played.”

“Over the past year, it’s been wonderful to spend so much time with our families,” said Santiago in a statement. “I’ve been doing a lot of cycling and playing music, Paz has been working on art projects, music, film, and surfing, Charles [Black Francis] has been raising chickens and doing a lot of painting, and Dave has been playing drums, doing magic, and investing time in metal detecting and mineral collecting. But we’re ready to get back to playing live shows, and are looking forward to seeing you all.”
