Vanessa Carlton to release ‘Earlier Things Live’ & begin tour this February

Vanessa Carlton

Vanessa Carlton is the type of personal storyteller and captivating performer that thrives in the live setting. Lucky for fans, she has announced that she will once again be hitting the road this month in support of the release of her upcoming album, Earlier Things Live, which drops on Feb. 17.

Earlier Things Live follows in the footsteps of Carlton’s 2016 release Liberman Live. As the title of the new album suggests, Earlier Things Live features live versions of the artist’s previous works including her smash hits, “A Thousand Miles” and “White Houses.” She also performs a duet of Deer Tick’s “In Our Time” with her husband, John McCauley, on the album.

Following the release of Earlier Things Live, Carlton will kick-off her 2017 tour with a performance at Schrott Center for the Performing Arts in Indianapolis on Feb. 22. Later in the month, she will be stopping by Chicago for a pair of shows at City Winery and SPACE on the 24th and 25th, respectfully. The tour will conclude on April 15, when Carlton takes the stage at The Coach House in San Juan Capistrano, CA.
