The New Year is already shaping up to be a good one in terms of live music as Chicago native Neal Francis is set to perform at Thalia Hall on January 14.
The Chicago date is part of a massive U.S. tour in support of Francis’ new album In Plain Sight, which was released via ATO back on Nov. 5. The album found Francis reflecting on honesty and resilience in the wake of a recent breakup.
“I’m owning up to all my problems within my relationships and my sobriety,” Francis said in a statement. “So much of it is about coming to the understanding that I continue to suffer because of those problems. It’s about acknowledging that and putting it out in the open in order to mitigate the suffering and try to work on it, instead of trying to hide everything.”
Dos Santos will be on hand to open the Thalia Hall performance – presented by 93XRT – and the show is scheduled to begin at 8 p.m.
