The Pitchfork Music Festival once again took over Union Park in Chicago for the first of three days of music on Friday, July 15. Spiritualized, Parquet Courts, Dawn Richard, Amber Mark and many more artists performed throughout the afternoon and evening. The night’s headliner, The National, whose Pitchfork set marked the start of the band’s first North American Tour since 2019, stood out among the talented lineup as a timeless band that – somehow – just keeps getting better with each live performance.
