Comedian Dave Stone’s ‘Pack a Lunch’ is packed full of laughs – Out May 5

Dave Stone - Pack a Lunch (6000 x 6000 300 dpi)

Throughout Pack a Lunch – the hilarious sophomore comedy full-length album from Dave Stone – the comedian finds the funny in food and much more. When to eat food, what food to eat, how to best guard food from thieves, and with whom to eat food are just a few of the culinary areas Stone mines for comedy.

While food serves as a through line, Stone also hilariously revisits stories from his time working as a Atlanta police officer – tales he’s kept hidden for many years – and he talks about how it’s not a bad idea to get a tune-up to “rid masculinity of all its toxins.”

There are a lot of nostalgic elements that fans will enjoy as Stone reminisces on growing up as a kid in Northern Georgia, but the album also touches on adult life as a food-loving man married to a “fruit nerd.” The whole set has a nice balance of silly stories that brings the past and present together in a way that feels timeless.

Pack a Lunch – which is the audio accompaniment to Stone’s debut stand-up special of the same name – will be released via Blonde Medicine on Friday, May 5. Click here to pick-up a copy of the album and head over to YouTube to watch the special this Friday.
