A new single-day festival style-event is happening in Chicago as Cold Waves is presenting Space Echo at Radius on May 2.
Failure, Baroness, And You Will Know Us By the Trail of Dead, Torche, Shiner, and more are all set to perform. The 18+ event features two stages with the show beginning at 6 p.m.
This specially curated lineup was chosen with respect to Failure, whose Fantastic Planet celebrates its 30th anniversary this year.
“We’d been exploring an alternate idea the past couple of years, curating a show around a particular headliner that aligned with our musical passion, and related to the city of Chicago,” says Jason Novak, Cold Waves founder and director. “While our connection to dark wave and industrial music runs decades long, with experiences and relationships that cater to that fan-base, we obviously enjoy and relate to many other styles of music, and wanted a chance to explore that.”
