The latest episode of On Cinema at the Cinema was a doozy. Not only did it mark the return of host Tim Heidecker after a brief stint in prison, but it also revealed that everyone’s favorite special agent Jack Decker is returning for another wild ride as Decker: Unsealed is set to debut on Adult Swim on June 4 at Midnight E/P on Adult Swim.

The new season of Decker finds the next generation stepping into the spotlight with Decker Jr seeking to avenge the murder of his father. Master CIA codebreaker Jonathan Kington – played to perfection by On Cinema co-host, Gregg Turkington, and President Davidson Jr. (Joe Estevez) will do whatever it takes to help the young special agent succeed in his mission. Joey Travolta, Alfonso Freeman, Jimmy McNichol, Kellee Maize, Steve Railsbank and Denny Laine are all set to make appearances during the new season.

Decker’s return is especially happy news following the major setbacks that Heidecker has experienced of late, most notably the tragedy that unfolded at the Electric Sun Desert Music Festival during which Dr. San’s deadly vapes led to tragedy in Apple Valley. At the top of the episode, Heidecker paid tribute to those who lost their lives at the music festival saying, “These kids came out to a music festival to have a good time and we had a good time. All Saturday morning, all Saturday afternoon we partied and Dr. San, the rat, the evil, evil man, bad guy, really let me down.” Turkington added that he “never believed that Dr. San was anything but a quack.”

Heidecker – now on the “straight and narrow” – went on to lead a compelling episode featuring 5-bag reviews of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 and The Lovers. “On the advice of my counsel, we are here to talk about movies because I want to show that I have the ability to serve my community in an upstanding and professional manner,” he said before sharing his movie ratings and bravely admitting that he had not seen either film.

Guest, comedian, master-impressionist and waiter, Mark Proksch, was noticeably absent from the episode, which closed out with a tearjerking eulogy to the Electric Sun 20.
