July 18 is going to be a very exciting night for audience members at The Second City Mainstage in Toronto as Rick Moranis and Dave Thomas bring their old SCTV friends together for a reunion of epic proportions. “Take Off, Eh!” will host a mammoth lineup of talent, featuring some of the biggest names in Canadian comedy and music for an intimate evening and all-star benefit.

The star-studded event will feature the legendary Bob and Doug McKenzie (Moranis and Thomas) of Second City, SCTV and Strange Brew fame, coming together for the “Great White North” reunion. Martin Short will also be on-hand for a one-on-one special guest (TBA) interview as Jiminy Glick. There will be comedy from Dan Aykroyd, Catherine O’Hara, Eugene Levy, Joe Flaherty, The Kids in the Hall’s Dave Foley, Scott Thompson and Kevin McDonald along with music from Paul Shaffer, Ian Thomas, Murray McLauchlan and some surprise musical guests.

The above “Take Off, Eh!” reunion was organized by Thomas to help raise awareness and funds for his nephew Jake Thomas who, on Jan. 7, 2017, became paralyzed from the waist down after sustaining a spinal cord injury during a snowmobiling accident. The funds raised by the event will go directly to Jake Thomas and his family as well as to the organization, Spinal Cord Injury Ontario.
