The Season 4 trailer for Broad City has arrived and it’s full of the usual comic madness. The new season returns to Comedy Central in August so have a little look at the short clip above, which sees the duo getting totally animated, among other things.
Though clocking in at just over a mere one and a half minutes, the Season 4 trailer for Broad City is chockful of comedic chaos. The gals (Abbi Jacobson & Ilana Glazer) get themselves into a myriad of situations — they inject botox, taunt demonstrators and do a fair share of partying — all while they attempt to navigate life in The Big City.
Lincoln Rice (Hannibal Buress) will return in Season 4, joined by a handful of guest stars including RuPaul, Steve Buscemi and Wanda Sykes, all who make appearances in the trailer. And while Diane Keaton appearing on the show is certainly a possibility (see this 2014 Twitter exchange between Keaton, Glazer & Jacobson), don’t be fooled as it’s not the Annie Hall star but rather comedian & actress Jane Curtin offering Abbi a “puff of her magical wand.” Shania Twain is also expected to appear at some point across the 10-episode new season.
Glazer previously told The Daily Beast that the fourth season was going to be “dark as f*ck.” Apparently, she and Jacobson also had to do quite a bit of rewriting in the wake of Donald Trump’s victory over Hillary Clinton, which resulted in the new season being set in the dead of winter.
Broad City Season 4 premieres on Aug. 23.
