Stand-up comedian and Bob’s Burgers actor, Eugene Mirman, is gearing up for the season three premiere of his popular podcast, Hold On. On Friday, Oct. 6, fans will get the chance to once again hear Mirman chat with some of the funniest people in the world as they share personal stories down to the very last detail.
Rather than simply letting his guests rehash old tales, Mirman asks them all of the important – and hilarious – follow-up questions needed to get to the heart of the story. He often pauses their true, entertaining and personal accounts to make sure that all of the silly specifics have been revealed.
Weird Al Yankovic, Kumail Nanjiani, Lisa Lampanelli, Reggie Watts and Mike Birbiglia have all previously appeared on Hold On as have Wyatt Cenac, Jim Gaffigan and David Cross. Mirman’s frequent collaborator Kristen Schaal even stopped by to share her story of a Sideways-themed winery tour.
Earlier this month, Mirman presented the 10th and final edition of his self-titled Brooklyn-based comedy festival to rave reviews. Janeane Garofalo, Bobcat Goldthwait, Aparna Nancherla and many more comedians helped to make the finale an event to remember.
