Jay Larson’s new comedy special ‘Me Being Me’ out today

Today (Oct. 20) marks a big day for comedian Jay Larson as his new stand-up special makes its audio and video debut on a host of popular internet platforms. Check out a trailer for his new hour-long, Me Being Me, above.

At one point in the brief but hilarious trailer above, Larson can be seen expressing doubts about his baby daughter after his wife questions his love of their child. “I’m just gettin’ to know her,” he retorts defensively, “I don’t know her that well.”

Being a father is just one of many personal topics Larson explores in Me Being Me, taped across two shows at the El Rey Theater in Los Angeles on Nov. 29, 2016. The Massachusetts-born comedian also weighs in on marriage, family life and neighborhood vigilantes, examining all with a brutally honest and forthright comedic approach. The special also takes a more touching turn as Larson closes things out with a story involving the passing of his estranged father.

Larson has made appearances on Conan, Comedy Central’s Live at Gotham and @midnight. He also appeared on This Is Not Happening, prior to Roy Wood Jr. coming on as host and, more recently, could be seen guesting on The Meltdown with Jonah and Kumail. He has released two prior comedy albums, Self Diagnosed (2011) and Human Math (2016) and debuted a half-hour special on Comedy Central Presents.
