Joel Kim Booster: Model Minority Album Cover

Up-and-coming comedian Joel Kim Booster is on the verge of releasing his debut comedy album. The album, titled Model Minority, will be released digitally by Comedy Central Records on Nov. 3.

Model Minority was taped across two nights in July in front of a sold-out crowd at the Ars Nova in New York City. The album will see the South Korean-born, Chicago-bred, Brooklyn-based comedian riffing on everything from his unorthodox evangelical upbringing in Plainfield Illinois to the Dixie Chicks to the state of modern-day gay porn.

With recent appearances on Conan, The Meltdown with Jonah and Kumail, @midnight and Full Frontal with Samantha Bee, Booster’s star is quickly rising. He’s has performed at top festivals like SXSW and Just For Laughs Montreal (as one of 2016’s “New Faces of Comedy”) and has even racked up a couple writing credits his for work on Billy On The Street and the pilot for Problematic with Moshe Kasher.

Booster’s new stand-up comedy album arrives on the heels of his newly-released half-hour special debut on Oct. 21, courtesy of Comedy Central Presents. Pick it up this Friday on Pandora, Apple Music, Spotify, SiriusXM and all other streaming and download services or pre-order it now on Amazon and iTunes.
