It looks like the Raconteurs will be touring in 2019

The Raconteurs

The Raconteurs are officially back at it. With a slew of exciting announcements over the course of the last few months regarding an album rerelease, as well as new music, Brendan Benson has now confirmed the group also plans to hit the road later this year.

The announcement came earlier this week via Benson’s Twitter account, where the singer revealed “2019 is going to be an exciting year of touring with The Racs!” No tour dates were included but the band previously confirmed they will be appearing at Australia’s Byron Bay Bluesfest this coming April (under their Aussie moniker The Saboteurs).

Fans first caught wind of the Raconteurs revival when the group announced, last October, that they would be releasing another album in the new year. Then in December, the band served up two singles — “Sunday Driver” and “Now That You’re Gone” — which were made available digitally and on a 7” vinyl pressing included with Third Man Records’ 10th Anniversary release of Consolers Of The Lonely.

The Raconteurs last performed live back in 2011 and later, in surprise fashion, at the Nashville stop of Jack White‘s 2015 tour. The band, however, hasn’t gone on a full tour since 2008.

Check out the official music videos for the Raconteurs’ latest two singles below and keep your ears open for new tour dates, which should presumably be announced in the near future.
