Jen Kirkman

The new year is off to a very funny start as Jen Kirkman is set to perform at Thalia Hall in Chicago on Jan. 17. The last time she performed at the Pilsen venue, in October of 2017, Kirkman shared her thoughts on politics, meditation and coping with living in Trump’s America with a keen hilarity. Her upcoming set is sure to be filled with new observations on life in the modern age.

Along with releasing a pair of incredibly funny specials for Netflix, I’m Gonna Die Alone (And I Fell Fine) and Just Keep Livin’?, Kirkman is also a writer on the award-winning Amazon series, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.

She frequently appeared as a round table guest on Chelsea Lately and her Drunk History narrations are featured among the series’ most popular episodes. Kirkman’s hilarious essay memoirs, I Can Barely Take Care of Myself: Tales from a Happy Life without Kids and I Know What I’m Doing and Other Lies I Tell Myself; (Dispatches From a Life Under Construction), earned the comedian the title of New York Times Bestselling author.
