Anthony Jeselnik’s new comedy special ‘Fire in the Maternity Ward’ hits Netflix April 30

Comedian Anthony Jeselnik has just announced his new stand-up special Fire in the Maternity Ward will premiere next month on Netflix. Check out the trailer above.

The comedian announced his new hour-long via a Tweet, where he confirmed it’s “official” release. “I say officially because I’ve been talking about it for weeks,” said Jeselnik in a video posted on Twitter. “Didn’t know I was supposed to wait until today.” See the complete social media post below.

Fire in the Maternity Ward was taped at The Town Hall in New York City during a pair of shows back in November of 2018 as part of the New York Comedy Festival. The special comes on the heels of Jeselnik’s new development deal with Comedy Central that includes hosting his weekly podcast The Jeselnik and Rosenthal Vanity Project and producing and starring in a six-episode half-hour TV series.

Jeselnik’s forthcoming special continues the comedian’s relationship with Netflix as the two previously partnered for the release of his prior special Thoughts and Prayers, which was made available for streaming exclusively on the VOD platform back in 2015.
