Steve Byrne, Rob Schneider & more to appear at Chicago Improv this month

The Chicago Improv has had a great lineup throughout 2019 with performances by Christopher Titus, Anjelah Johnson, Kelsie Huff, Marlon Wayans, Chris Hardwick and many more, but December may just end up being the funniest month of all.

Steve Byrne, Rob Schneider and Rocky LaPorte – hosting a special New Years Eve celebration – are among the comedians that will be generating laughs at the Schaumberg club this month.

Byrne, who is set to headline five shows across Dec. 19 to 21, created and starred in the comedy series Sullivan & Son and has released several specials including Steve Byrne’s Happy Hour and The Byrne Identity. His 2017 effort for Showtime, Tell the Damn Joke, was one of the best specials of that year and he has appeared on several notable tours including Vince Vaughn’s Wild West Comedy Tour, The Kims of Comedy and The Jameson Comedy Tour. Byrne has also performed for troops in Afghanistan, Iraq and beyond while headlining USO tours.

Dec. 27 to 29 will find Schneider bringing his trademark brand of comedy to the Chicago Improv for five headlining sets. After appearing on Saturday Night Live from 1990 to 1994, Schneider went on to be featured in several hit films such as Grown Ups, Big Daddy and Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo.

LaPorte will be hosting a pair of shows at the Improv on New Years Eve at 7:30 p.m. and 10 p.m. The early show features a dinner package as well as a show-only option while the late show includes champagne, party favors and more.

The Chicago Improv’s 2020 calendar is already heating up with performances by great comedians as well. Steve-O (Jan 10 & 11), Bobby Lee (Feb. 14-16) and Felipe Esparza (Feb. 21-23) are among the must-see shows.
