It was announced back on May 4 that The Chris Gethard Show would be moving to TruTV for its highly-anticipated third season. Well, the insanity begins now as the quirky variety talk show has just unveiled a new trailer and promo clip for your viewing pleasure.
As Chris Gethard can be heard saying in the above promo clip, Season 3 of his chaotic late night television series will be aired live (with a 10-second delay) on TruTV. The show has become known for its unscripted format and resulting no-holds-barred nature and this forthcoming live evolution of the series should only further enhance those elements.
The Chris Gethard Show began as a live comedy show at New York’s UCB. It had a four-year public access run, which Gethard refers to in the below trailer “the wild west of television,” and was subsequently picked up by the Fusion network, where it ran for two seasons in a pre-recorded format.
Season 3 of The Chris Gethard Show will feature 16 live hour-long episodes. The new season premieres Aug. 3 on TruTV.
