The coronavirus pandemic has canceled virtually every concert in the United States for the foreseeable future, but some musicians – including Death Cab for Cutie‘s Ben Gibbard – are still performing, virtually.

With isolation encouraged, Gibbard has committed to playing solo, acoustic concerts from his studio home every day at 4 p.m. PST for the next several weeks. These Live from Home sessions will be live streamed via YouTube and Facebook.

“Be it with DCFC, Postal Service, or solo I have always been grateful for the honor you have bestowed upon us by choosing to congregate en masse around our music. Some of you have traveled great distances and/or shelled out large sums of money to see us play and that has never been lost on me. So in this crazy and unprecedented time, I’d like to return the favor by coming to YOU,” wrote Gibbard on Death Cab for Cutie’s social media pages.

The first performance was held on March 17, and Gibbard opened with the Postal Service classic “We Will Become Silhouettes” in all its doomsday glory. “Cath…,” “A Lack of Color” and a cover of Radiohead’s “Fake Plastic Trees” were also highlights of the set.

Fans are invited to submit requests and anyone able is encouraged to donate to the Seattle area non-profit, Aurora Commons.

The next stream will take place at 4 p.m. PST today (March 18).
