‘Conan’ to air new shows filmed via iPhone starting March 30

Conan O'Brien

Conan O’Brien and his Conan team have announced that the show will begin airing new episodes on March 30. There will be no audience and O’Brien’s production staff will work from home as the comedian films segments with an iPhone.

“The quality of my work will not go down because technically that’s not possible,” said O’Brien in a statement.

Guest interviews will be filmed via video chat.

“Our first priority is the health and well-being of everyone in the Team Coco family, and our second priority is to try and find a way that we can do our jobs safely, from home, and contribute some entertainment for our fans out there who may be hungry for silly distraction,” added Jeff Ross, Executive Producer.

Since March 16, Conan has been on a pre-scheduled hiatus though O’Brien has been sharing short videos throughout the week. The “Quarantine Edition” of his podcast, Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend, was released on March 13.

Conan airs Monday through Thursday at 11 p.m. ET on TBS. Check out O’Brien’s toilet paper tips video below and head over to Teamcoco.com for more information.
