Toronto’s JFL42 reveals 2017 lineup topped by Bill Burr, Ali Wong & more


JFL42 Festival in Toronto has just revealed its 2017 lineup. The massive comedy festival, which runs Sept. 21-30, features a strong slate of comedians topped by six headliners (all taking the stage at the Sony Center for the Performing Arts) Bill Burr, Ali Wong, John Mulaney, Tim and Eric, My Favorite Murder and Tom Segura.

2017 marks the festival’s sixth year and to help ensure it is a good one, JFL42 has enlisted a strong army of eclectic comics. Among the comedians on the bill are Jenny Slate, Jay Pharoah, Janeane Garofalo, Rhys Darby, Brian Posehn, Kyle Kinane, Jen Kirkman, Andy Kindler, Greg Proops, Roy Wood Jr., The Lucas Brothers, Michelle Wolf, Mark Normand, Rachel Feinstein, Beth Stelling, Guys We F&%@d Podcast, Gina Yashere, Rory Scovel, Ali Saddiq, Morgan Murphy and many more.

A handful of Canadian stand-up comedians including Sara Hennessey, Chris Locke, Sandra Battaglini, Sophie Buddle, Che Durena, Chris Robinson, Eman El-Husseini, Mike Rita & local sketch duo Soul Decision will also be on-hand at the festival, created by Just For Laughs.

ComedyCon will also return to the festival this year after a successful debut in 2016. The daytime series runs Sept. 21 to 24 and Sept. 29 and 30 and includes In Conversations with Mulaney, Burr, Tim and Eric, Segura, Posehn, Slate and Garofalo. Fans can experience podcasts from Jen Kirkman, Greg Proops and more as well as check out The Beaverton Live, a televised adaptation of the infamous online satirical news site.
